CANVAS posseses an undeniable chemistry which allows them to compose such masterpieces that we can all relate to. CANVAS' sound was acquired from a series of factors that dates all the way back to the beginning. Miami, city where the group resides in, with it's cultural diversity, gave start to the search of an authentic sound. After some time, with simple but deep lyrics and with the help of music producer Rey-Nerio, who has produced many artists such as: Jerry Rivera, Julio Iglesias, Chayanne, Gloria Estefan, and many others, and the help of recording engineer Tom Harney, who has recorded and mixed numerous award winning artists, CANVAS was able to find their sound. It is a fusion between Latin and American music, mixing together different genres such as rock, pop, funk, salsa, reggaeton, merengue, and many others to make the sound that can only be described as CANVAS.
CANVAS has traveled all over South Florida performing at numerous nightclubs, festivals, and large venues bringing its' flavor and swing thanks to the efforts of guitarist extraordinare Juan Francisco "Pipo" Arroba who brings an essence and tecnique that's completely unique, and talented vocalist Raul "Maka" Sandoval who with his amazing voice adds the funk needed to achieve the CANVAS sound. Together they work, striving only for excellence, fulfilling that dream with the certainty that CANVAS will one day be world wide.
